She was approached by the church’s creative team to come up with a colourful design to depict the Sacraments: Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Marriage and the Sacrament of the Sick. The eighth panel depicts Our Lady, Mary.

Ria drew out the designs and a team of ladies joined in the painting of the glass. This project was the source of much laughter, the gaining of a new skill and a sense of community in producing a work of art together.

The new panels now enhance the entrance to the church and provide a warm welcome to visitors new and old.
